Position Overview | We are looking for highly skilled car mechanic, you are responsible for inspecting,diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, and other automobiles. |
Duties and Responsibilities | - Experience to Perform comprehensive inspections to identify mechanical, electrical, and other issues in vehicles.
- Skilled to use diagnostic tools and equipment to pinpoint problems
- Able to analyze diagnostic data and customer descriptions to identify the root causes of problems.
- Should have knowledge to Interpret error codes and diagnostic reports to determine needed repairs.
- Perform a wide range of automotive repairs, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and exhaust system repairs.
- Replace or repair faulty parts and components, such as brakes, batteries, alternators, and more.
- Conduct routine maintenance services, such as oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and fluid flushes.
- Conduct wheel alignments and balancing.
- Test vehicles after repairs to ensure that issues have been resolved and the vehicle is safe to drive.
- Perform road tests to evaluate vehicle performance and handling.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs and services performed, including parts used and labour hours.
- Document customer interactions, including repair estimates and explanations of work required.
- Interact with customers to discuss vehicle issues, provide repair estimates, and explain necessary repairs.
- Answer questions and provide guidance on vehicle maintenance and care.
- Ensure that all repairs and maintenance tasks meet safety and environmental standards.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry regulations and safety practices.
- Properly use and maintain various hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Apply problem-solving skills to identify and address complex and less common vehicle issues.
- Stay current with advancements in automotive technology and repair techniques through training and professional development.
- Collaborate with other mechanics and support staff to efficiently complete tasks and manage workloads.
- As a Car mechanic you should be having work experience in automotive repair, dealerships, independent garages, and auto service centers. you have strong technical and mechanical skills, good attention to detail, and a commitment to ensuring the safety and reliability of the vehicles one work on.Additionally, effective communication and customer service skills are important for interacting with vehicle owners.
